Driven rollers

Driven rollers - indispensable for automation

Driven rollers are rollers that are driven with a specific transmission ratio by means of a roller chain. For this purpose, corresponding sprockets are mounted on the roller, which are firmly connected to the roller tube.

An automated unit handling device with driven rollers

Driven rollers are used in automated conveyor systems for transporting unit loads. Many driven rollers have double sprockets. Two chains are then connected to each roller. They connect the current and the following roller with each other or with the drive. This means that entire conveyors or conveyor sections can be driven by a single drive. This ensures the same conveying speed on the respective conveyor section and guarantees controlled transportation of the conveyed goods.

We use sprockets with hardened tooth flanks. This results in significantly higher wear resistance and, as a consequence, a considerably longer service life of the rollers.

By coating the roller tubes with rubber or polyurethane, the impact forces on the rollers and on trnsported goods can be reduced. The rubber coating also improves the adhesion between the transported goods and the roller, which prevents the roller from slipping. For the transportation of goods such as wood, special metal carrier sleeves can be fitted onto the roller tube.

We would be pleased to offer you rollers that are optimally adapted to your application. We look forward to receiving your inquiry!
