The Bulk Materials Handling Technology Conference is jointly organized by the Chair of Materials Handling, Material Flow and Logistics at the Technical University of Munich and the Chair of Materials Handling and Material Flow Technology at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. It is held alternately each year in Garching and Magdeburg and is one of the most important conferences in the bulk materials handling industry in Germany.
It always enjoys lively participation from scientists, plant manufacturers as well as operators and thus enables an intensive and effective exchange of knowledge and experience.
The symposium is already taking place for the 27th time and this year's motto is "Innovations, Sustainability, Trends, Efficiency and Lifetime".
Mr. Yevhen Redka, M.Sc. from our research and development department will give a presentation on "Lifetime and Availability" on September 20. As part of his presentation "xForce-Further development of a conventional idler", he will address the importance of using lighter and more resistant materials with regard to the extended occupational and environmental protection regulations as well as the more aggressive operating conditions compared to the previously central material steel.
In this context, Mr. Redka will present the "Küpper - xForce idler". This was developed taking into account the latest scientific findings by Artur Küpper GmbH & Co. KG together with their partners successfully developed from a fiber composite material.
The complete presentation of Mr. Redka can be found in the PDF file below, as well as the invitation of the two chairs for interested parties, in which the schedule of the day is included.
